If you enjoy photography and are fascinated by the desert night sky, this hands-on course is for you! Dennis Mammana, sky photographer, will teach participants the secret of capturing the desert sky at sunset and dusk, creating time-lapse exposures, moonlight shots, and more. Both classroom lecture and nighttime field session will offer insights into how to use cameras to create stunning celestial portraits including star trail photography. Any camera—digital or film—will work, as long as it can be adjusted manually in combination with a tripod, remote control and can take time exposures. Students should have a good working knowledge of their equipment prior to taking this class.
