You can give back to the land by becoming a member of the Joshua Tree National Park Association! As a one time visitor to Joshua Tree National Park or someone who comes every year to view the spectacular desert landscape and experience the magic of the vast vistas, rock mazes, and desert skies your membership helps preserve Joshua Tree National Park for future generations as well as funding educational, interpretive, and scientific programs.
Joshua Tree National Park Association was founded in 1962 as a non-profit cooperating association with the mission to assist with preservation, education, historical, and scientific programs for the benefit of Joshua Tree National Park and its visitors. Programs and projects that are not readily achievable through the use of federal funds and personnel are made possible through Joshua Tree National Park Association. In the past year, the Association funded $141,000 in aid to the park. In fact, with the help of friends and members the Association was able to purchase a new visitor center located in downtown Joshua Tree!
Your membership also supports publications for Joshua Tree National Park, education materials to students, the park library and museum, the official park newspaper, the Joshua Tree Guide, given out to visitors who come to the park, educational and interpretive information at four visitor center bookstores, and financial aid for Joshua Tree National Park programs.
